GP BINGO!
If you missed the memo, Grand Palms BINGO nights are the latest rage. 96 people out on June 22. 5 prizes of $100 each and the 6th prize was $200! See one winner Paula here. People of all ages came out, even many kids. What a great night out for $10 and a great way to meet camp friends. Check calendar for next one, we will try to host BINGO regularly.
Mosquitos
Did you know there are 3600 species of mosquitoes? I wonder how many in Manitoba? And only the females bite! They rely on the protein in human blood for egg production. There is no limit on the number of bites one mosquito can inflict on you. They love ‘O’ blood type the most. Males live 1 week, females can live 7 months. Females pollinate just like bees and only bite to help their eggs develop.
Splash Pad
Our infamous splash pad is operating in all its glory. After much turmoil, we broke up the concrete, fixed the pipes and got it going. How nice to see families out there enjoying the pool and splash pad. Thanks for your patience.
The pool is heated and remember, 8-10pm is adult only time.
Showers are all working. Laundry is working. YAY!!
